Cursor

Add to Cursor

Cursor opens and adds the server with the URL above. Prefer a local server that runs on your computer? Add the local version (npx -y dropthehassle-mcp@latest).

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http dropthehassle https://dropthehassle.com/mcp

To sign in later, ask Claude Code to sign in to DropTheHassle. It gives you a link to open.

Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector. Name it DropTheHassle and paste https://dropthehassle.com/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Click Continue, and on the next screen click Continue again.
  4. Under Authentication, choose No sign in. Leave Request headers empty and click Add.

Publishing needs no account. For your sites, a domain or a mailbox, ask: sign in to DropTheHassle. You get a link: sign in with your email and the 6-digit code, then click Connect. Done.

Works on Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. On Pro and Max, the button may be called + Add, then Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds the connector in Organization settings, then Connectors; members then click Connect under Customize, then Connectors.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web. Custom MCP servers are web only.
  2. Go to Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it DropTheHassle. Under Connection, paste https://dropthehassle.com/mcp as the server URL.
  4. Under Authentication, select No authentication.
  5. Tick I understand and want to continue, then select Create as a plugin.
  6. Install the plugin, start a chat, type @ and pick DropTheHassle.

Publishing needs no account. For your sites, a domain or a mailbox, ask: sign in to DropTheHassle. You get a link: sign in with your email and the 6-digit code, then click Connect. Done.

Publishing is a write action. Custom MCP servers with write actions work on ChatGPT Business and Enterprise/Edu; on Business, an admin or owner adds the server. On Pro, custom MCP servers are read-only, so publishing may not work there.

What to ask

Your AI can publish. It can never spend your money: when something costs money, you get a payment link.

Which URL do I use?

Signing in unlocks the account tools, including the payment links for a domain and a mailbox. Agents and scripts can also send a DropTheHassle token (it starts with dth_) as Authorization: Bearer.

Can my AI spend money?

You pay yourself, on a Stripe checkout page. Your AI only gets the link.

How do I disconnect?

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Plugins (older apps: Apps). In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. In Cursor, open the MCP settings and remove dropthehassle. In Claude Code, run claude mcp remove dropthehassle.

Using Framer's MCP too?

Framer's MCP lets your AI design, build and publish sites inside your Framer projects. DropTheHassle puts a site you built with any AI tool live on your own domain. They do different jobs, so you can use both.
