ChatGPT made you a website. Put it online, on your own domain
You already built it. Now it's on your name. (1) On ChatGPT Plus or higher: ChatGPT Sites can host it and connect a domain you already own. You buy the domain elsewhere and add the DNS records yourself. (2) Any plan, including free: save the code as index.html, drop it on DropTheHassle for a free link, then buy a .com here (no DNS) or connect your own.
No Plus needed, domain included without DNS work, mail included, and the site doesn't depend on your ChatGPT subscription. If you already have Plus and a domain, Sites works fine too.

Route 1. ChatGPT Sites, on a paid plan
ChatGPT Sites has been in public beta since 9 July 2026 for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu. It is not on Free or Go. It hosts the site, including a light app with a database, sign-in, and analytics, on an address on chatgpt.site. OpenAI's own example is goblin-tales.openai.chatgpt.site. You can rename that address. The previous address redirects.
Sites doesn't sell domains. To connect a domain you already own:
- Add domain.
- Add the DNS records Sites shows, at the company where you bought the domain. Use the values on that screen. This page does not print them.
- Refresh the domain status.
Limits: Sites does not register the domain. It is not on Free or Go. Custom domains are not available in Enterprise at launch. Plan limits apply during the beta. OpenAI's help does not document email, an export button, or an API. Sign in with ChatGPT can pass a visitor's email address into the site. That is not an inbox you send from.
Buying a .com on DropTheHassle publishes the files you upload here. The domain connection inside Sites is the three steps above, at your registrar, for a name you already own.
Route 2. Any plan, including free
ChatGPT: open the code block, use Copy or Download, and save it as index.html. A preview or share link for that code block stays inside ChatGPT. If it is several files, ask: "Rewrite this as one self-contained index.html with all CSS and JavaScript inline."
If you started from a folder on your computer, use that folder, or dist after a build. Put keys in a .env file before you build.
Open dropthehassle.com, press Upload (free), then Drop your folder. You do not sign in first. You get https://yourname.dropthehassle.app on HTTPS. No card. Claim it with your email afterwards, or it can be removed after 7 days. Your AI can publish the folder. It cannot buy the domain or turn on email.
From a ChatGPT Site to the files
Move a Site here only when it is static: HTML, CSS, and images. If your Site uses a database or ChatGPT sign-in, it isn't a static site and belongs on Sites or another host. Saved records and uploaded files stay on Sites.
OpenAI's help does not describe an export button. For a static Site, ask ChatGPT for a zip of the source and publish the build folder. That zip step is not in the official docs. Features that call ChatGPT from inside the page stop working once the file is hosted elsewhere.
The domain, on route 2
A .com bought here is EUR 19 a year including VAT in the EU, or USD 19 elsewhere, the same every year, and the website needs no DNS edit from you. A domain you already own needs one A record: one line in your domain's settings that says which server your site lives on. You set it once, to the address shown on your screen, at the company where you bought the domain. Press Check now. HTTPS follows. You do not upload a certificate.
If that name already receives mail, leave the mail records as they are. MX is the rule that says where your mail arrives. The website is the A record.
The first inbox here is EUR 5 per month and each extra address is EUR 3 per month. This page does not suggest forwarding mail to a free personal inbox. DNS, HTTPS, and other hosts are also on the general guide.
