How do I add a contact form to my vibe-coded site?

Claim your site, sign in and press Collect leads, or ask your AI to turn on lead capture. A contact form with Name, Email and Message is added to your site. Each message is emailed to your mailbox and kept in your dashboard, where See messages shows the latest ones. It does not charge.

Your AI can publish. It can never spend your money.

Why the form your AI built does nothing once it is live

A form needs somewhere to send the message. Your AI drew the fields and the button, but on a site made of pages there is no server behind it to receive the message and email it to you. So the button does nothing, or shows an error. Collect leads fixes that by adding a DropTheHassle contact form that does send: every message goes to your mailbox.

Collect leads in 4 steps

  1. Claim your site. Collect leads works on a claimed site. On a site that is not claimed yet you see Claim this site first to collect leads.
  2. Sign in. Open dropthehassle.com, sign in and open your site.
  3. Press Collect leads. The form appears on your site straight away.
  4. Read your messages. Each one lands in your mailbox. Press See messages to read the latest ones in the dashboard.

Or ask your AI

If your AI is connected to DropTheHassle with your account token, say: Turn on lead capture on my site. It calls enable_form. Ask Show me the latest messages from my contact form and it reads them with list_form_submissions. Neither one charges. Set-up per tool is in the MCP guide.

Where the form shows up

The form is added at the bottom of every page file named index.html or index.htm, in any folder, just before the end of the page. Pages with other names, like about.html or contact.html, do not get it.

It is DropTheHassle's own form. It does not take over a form your AI already built: that form is left as it is. If your site already has one, visitors can see two forms, so ask your AI to remove the old one: Remove the contact form from my site, I use Collect leads now.

What the form asks

Three fields: Name, Email and Message. That is all a visitor fills in.

Where messages go

Each message is emailed to the owner's mailbox: the address on your own domain when email is on there, otherwise your account email. Every message is also kept for the dashboard, so See messages shows the latest ones even if an email gets lost.

Against junk, the form has a simple honeypot (a hidden field that real people never fill in) and a limit on how fast messages can come in.

Turn it off

Press Collect leads again to turn it off, or ask your AI to turn lead capture off. The form disappears from your pages.

Questions

Do I need a backend or a form service?

No. Collect leads sends each message to your mailbox. You do not set up a server.

Does it cost money?

No. Turning on Collect leads does not charge.

Will it connect the form my AI already built?

No. Collect leads adds its own form with Name, Email and Message. The form your AI built is left as it is, so remove it if you only want one.

Which pages get the form?

Every page file named index.html or index.htm, in any folder. Other page names do not get it.

Can my AI read the messages?

Yes, with your account token. It uses list_form_submissions to read the latest ones.

What about spam?

The form has a simple honeypot and a limit on how fast messages can come in.
