How the checker works.

One box, a live answer from the registrar, and the real yearly price.

1 · Type
Type the name you want, with an ending like .com or .nl. No ending yet? Pick one.
2 · Check
The registrar answers: available or taken, with the price you would pay each year.
3 · Take it
Buy it here, or bring over a name you already own. Paying is always your click.

More than a search box.

The name is where your site starts, not where the hassle starts.

Domain questions,
straight answers.

What the checker does, what a name costs, and what happens next.

How do I check if a domain name is available?

Type the name with its ending, for example yourname.com, in the box at the top. The checker asks the registrar and shows Available or Taken, with the yearly price. Typed a name without an ending? Pick .com, .nl or .app.

What does a domain cost here?

A .com, .org or .net is EUR 19 a year, a .nl or .eu EUR 12 and a .app EUR 25, including VAT in the EU. Outside the EU you pay the same amount in USD. You renew at the same price every year, and you see the price before you pay.

The name I want is taken. What now?

If it is yours, choose Bring it over and move it here from the company where you bought it. If it is not yours, the checker looks for a free name close to it.

Can my AI check domain names for me?

Yes. Connect the DropTheHassle MCP server (npx -y dropthehassle-mcp, or https://dropthehassle.com/mcp) and ask it to find a free name. Its search_domain tool works without an account. Your AI can never buy a domain: paying is always your click.

Do I need DNS settings or a finished website?

No. A name bought here needs no DNS edit. You can buy only the name and add a site later, or put your site online first on a free HTTPS link and move it onto the name when you are ready.
