How it works.

Three things, then we do the looking.

1 · Your own domain
Live on DropTheHassle on a name you own, like yourname.com. A free dropthehassle.app link does not count.
2 · Live in October
Free and paid plans both count. Entry is automatic: every eligible site is judged, no sign-up.
3 · $100 to the maker
Our team picks one site on design, originality and usefulness. We announce it in the first week of November.

The rules. Short and fair.

Site of the Month, October 2026. A $100 prize, judged on skill.

  1. Who can win. Anyone with a site live on DropTheHassle on their own domain, like yourname.com. A site that is only on a free *.dropthehassle.app link cannot win. A domain you bought elsewhere and connected to DropTheHassle counts too.

  2. Age and country. Open to makers aged 18 or older, worldwide, except where prohibited by law or where we can't legally send payment (for example sanctioned countries). Void where prohibited.

  3. When. The site is live on that domain at some point from 1 October 2026, 00:00, to 31 October 2026, 23:59, Amsterdam time (CET/CEST). It must still be live when we judge, in the first week of November.

  4. No purchase needed. Free and paid plans both count. You do not have to buy anything beyond having your own domain.

  5. Entry is automatic. There is no sign-up. Every eligible site, live on DropTheHassle on its own domain in October, is judged automatically. You can also send us your site or a short note at info@dropthehassle.com. That is optional and does not change your chances.

  6. Real, original sites only. No placeholders or coming-soon pages, no illegal or adult content, and no copied templates without real changes. You must have the right to publish everything on the site. A site with an open abuse report cannot win.

  7. One prize per person. You can have more than one site in the running, but one person wins at most once. Staff of DropTheHassle (DBOS Holding B.V.) and our internal accounts cannot win.

  8. Judging. The DropTheHassle team looks at every eligible site and picks the winner on design, originality and usefulness. It is judged on skill. It is not a lottery and there is no random draw.

  9. The winner. We email the winner at the address on their DropTheHassle account in the first week of November 2026, and announce the winner on dropthehassle.com and our social channels.

  10. Payout. We pay $100 by PayPal or bank transfer within 14 days after the winner sends their payment details. The winner has 14 days to reply to our email. Without a reply, we pick the runner-up.

  11. We always ask before featuring. We always ask the winner's permission before we show the winning site in our Site of the Month gallery or on our socials. You can say no and still get the $100, and you can take it down any time. Without a yes, the announcement does not name you or your site.

  12. Instagram is not involved. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.) from any liability related to the contest.

Put your site online

Does a free dropthehassle.app link count?

No. The site has to be live on your own domain, like yourname.com. You can buy one here or connect one you already own. A .com is EUR 19 a year including VAT in the EU, or USD 19 elsewhere, the same every year.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Free and paid plans both count. The only thing you need besides your site is your own domain, and a domain from another registrar counts too.

How do I enter?

You do not have to. Entry is automatic: every eligible site is judged, with no sign-up. If you like, mail your site or a short note to info@dropthehassle.com. That is optional.

My site was live before October. Does it count?

Yes, as long as it is live on your own domain in October and still live when we judge, in the first week of November.

How can I check that my site is ready?

Ask your AI to run award_readiness on our MCP server. It checks the favicon, share image, title and description, mobile view, page weight, your own domain, https and a real page. It does not pick the winner, but a site that passes is in good shape.

How do you pick the winner?

The DropTheHassle team looks at every eligible site and picks one on design, originality and usefulness. It is judged on skill, not drawn by lot.

Do I have to be featured to get the $100?

No. We always ask the winner's permission before featuring, and the prize does not depend on it. You can say no, or take your site off the gallery later.
