How do I get my Claude Code site online?

Connect DropTheHassle to Claude Code once, then say Put ./dist online with DropTheHassle: Claude Code sends your site and you get a free HTTPS link, yourname.dropthehassle.app. Claude Code builds the site but doesn't host it, and DropTheHassle is the host, free to start with no card. You can also drop the folder on dropthehassle.com yourself.

Put it online from Claude Code

  1. Build it. Ask Claude Code to build the site, or run npm run build. You get a dist folder. A plain HTML site is ready as it is: use the folder with index.html.
  2. Connect DropTheHassle once. In your project folder, run: 
    claude mcp add --transport http dropthehassle https://dropthehassle.com/mcp
    No account and no token needed for a first deploy.
  3. Ask for it. Start Claude Code and type: Put ./dist online with DropTheHassle. Give your email when it asks.
  4. Open your link and claim it. Claude Code replies with your live link and a claim link. Open the claim link to keep the site: an unclaimed site is removed after at least 7 days.

What Claude Code can and can't do here

It can publish your site, check whether a name is free and what it costs, and hand you a payment link. It can't buy a domain or spend your money: paying is always your click. A .com is €19 a year (incl. VAT in the EU), $19 elsewhere, the same every year.

Questions

Can Claude Code host my website?

No. Claude Code builds the site and can deploy it, but it needs a host. With DropTheHassle connected, it puts the site on a free HTTPS link and gives you a claim link.

Do I need GitHub or an account?

No. A first deploy needs no GitHub, no account and no token. Give your email when it asks, and claim the site to keep it.

How big can the site be?

Up to 25 MB and 1,000 files before you claim it, and 100 MB and 5,000 files after. Too big for Claude Code to send? Drop the folder on dropthehassle.com yourself.

Can Claude Code buy my domain?

No. It can check names and hand you a payment link, but it can never spend your money. Paying is your click.

How do I update the site later?

Claim the site, then add your token from Connect your AI in the dashboard. After that, ask Claude Code to update my site and it updates the same address.

My app has a server part. Can it go online too?
